I had shattered completely. Devansh and I had been in a relationship for three years. For all those years, he treated me like a gentleman—kind, respectful, and loving. But behind his betrayal, I, too, was at fault.
My mistake? I had begun to suspect him a few months ago. His behavior had started to feel two-faced, insincere. Still, I chose to ignore the signs. I told myself it was probably the stress of exams or some family troubles.
But now, by cheating on me, he had confirmed what I feared the most—there’s no place left for loyalty in this world. The more faithful I remained, the more I was destined to be betrayed.
